Program Description: Call 2 Action gives at risk youth the opportunity to learn fundamental concepts necessary to launching their own business. By inviting successful entrepreneurs, guest speakers, and incorporating field trips and seed funding, Call 2 Action strives to show youth alternate pathways to success.
Student’s will finish the 2 module course with a fully articulated business plan and newfound knowledge about available resources in the community. Through the completion of the course, student’s will have the opportunity to develop their business plans step by step, meet successful multi-millionaires who will serve as mentors, and compete for seed funding or college scholarships to continue entrepreneurial studies in an accredited university.
Built into the program are months field trips and incentives to learn in the field, from some of the partners of the Little Lighthouse Foundation, NextGen, and Miami Children’s Initiative.
About NextGen NextGen’s mission is to foster entrepreneurship through mentorship, scholarships, and seed capital to young entrepreneurs. About Miami Children’s Initiative A 501C3 nonprofit organization focused on transforming Liberty City into a prosperous community.
In partnership with Liberty City’s residents, youth, religious centers, schools, businesses and non-profit organizations, we seek to address the needs of our community by investing in our children. Miami Children’s Initiative and its partners are making bold moves to transform the lives of the children and families in our community by providing a unified system of support, education and care that begins before birth through college and career. MCI believes that Liberty City’s strength lies in the undeveloped potential of its youth and that through focused strategic work the potential of each child can be unleashed.
