Day At The Park
The Little Lighthouse Foundation’s Day at the Park program (DATP) brings hundreds of children to a South Florida attraction for a day of fun in the sun!
Recent trips have included the Miami Seaquarium and Marlins Park, both of which award the attending students with complimentary park admission, a commemorative t-shirt, & lunch. Day at the Park 2014, on July 21st, will be the first DATP program to incorporate an interactive element, which will award winning teams of a Miami Seaquarium scavenger hunt with backpacks full of school supplies in preparation for the upcoming school year.
Volunteers show support by distributing t-shirts, organizing the students into groups, and chaperoning them through the park during the day. Park admission, lunch, and a t-shirt are also provided to attending volunteers!
