In South Florida: 1973, came from Cuba via Spain when I was 5 years old. Didn’t speak a word of English. It was hard for me to read at first with the language, but I had great teachers and they were patient with me.
Hobbies: Volunteering with LLF, Reading, Meditating, Camping, going to the beach
Favorite Activity: Spending time with my family & grandson?
Favorite LLF Moment: When the children have taken the role of the volunteer reader and they are the ones to tell the story to us. They do such a good job of reading and showing the pictures in the book and a few have gone as far as asking questions about the story. It is very rewarding to see the impact that we make in these children’s lives.
